Route 24 South thru Fall River and into Rhode Island. Route 24 will end, and you will be put onto 114 South. Stay on Route 114 South. Keep driving straight (making no turns) and Route 114 will turn into Broadway when you cross the Newport town line. Anchor Steam is a mile or so on your right, across from the Newport Town Hall, #44. Total trip from Boston is about an hour to an hour and a half, depending on traffic.

From the North-West (Worcester area)

146 South into Providence. 146 will end and you will be put on 95 South. The next LEFT exit will be 195 east, take this exit. 195 East over the Braga Bridge into Fall River. The third exit after crossing the bridge will be 24 South, take this exit. Route 24 South will take you into southern Rhode Island. Route 24 will end, and you will be put onto 114 South. Stay on Route 114 South. Keep driving straight (making no turns) and Route 114 will turn into Broadway when you cross the Newport town line. Anchor Steam is a mile or so on your right, across from the Newport Town Hall, #44. Total trip from Worcesteris about an hour and a half, depending on traffic.

From the North-West (Providence area)

95 to 195 East over the Braga Bridge into Fall River. The third exit after crossing the bridge will be 24 South, take this exit. Route 24 South will take you into southern Rhode Island. Route 24 will end, and you will be put onto 114 South. Stay on Route 114 South. Keep driving straight (making no turns) and Route 114 will turn into Broadway when you cross the Newport town line. Anchor Steam is a mile or so on your right, across from the Newport Town Hall, #44. Total trip from Providece is about 45 minutes, depending on traffic.

From the West (southern Rhode Island area)

Route 4 to 138 East. You will cross the Jamestown Verrazano Bridge. Next you will cross the Newport Bridge. There is a $2 toll to cross. When the highway ends you will come across a stoplight facing Newport Jai-Alai. Take a left at this light. At the second light, take a right onto Broadway. Anchor Steam is a mile or so on your right, across from the Newport Town Hall, #44. Total trip from URI is about 20 minutes, depending on traffic.

From the South (Connecticut area)

95 North into Rhode Island. Exit #3, Route 138 East into Newport. You will cross the Jamestown Verrazano Bridge. Next you will cross the Newport Bridge. There is a $2 toll to cross. When the highway ends you will come across a stoplight facing Newport Jai-Alai. Take a left at this light. At the third light, take a right onto Broadway. From the East (Cape Cod area)

Bourne Bridge to 25 West. Get on 195 West, not 495. You will pass thru New Bedford/Westport area, and shortly thereafter you will come across Route 24 in Fall River. Take Route 24 South. Route 24 South will take you into southern Rhode Island. Route 24 will end, and you will be put onto 114 South. Stay on Route 114 South. Keep driving straight (making no turns) and Route 114 will turn into Broadway when you cross the Newport town line. Anchor Steam is a mile or so on your right, across from the Newport Town Hall, #44. Total trip from the Cape Cod Bridges is about an hour, depending on traffic.

Please Note: Many people whom have used MapQuest or other such web based services for directions have gotten drastically lost when coming into the Newport area. Always be prepared and bring a map!
